Open Trade Stands

The stand site sizes are detailed within ‘Specifications’.

The grass will be topped off prior to the Show but may require further mowing to provide the best effect.

Wessex Arcade

This marquee is a mixture of Gift, Craft and Information sites, with a limited number of Charity stalls. One 6’ x 2’3” table is provided on each site, additional tables may be ordered.

Action Craft Marquee

This marquee is for Craft Exhibitors who are able to demonstrate their skills, whilst being able to sell their products. One 6’ x 2’3” table is provided on each site, additional tables may be ordered. In 2008 the Action Crafts will be under the same roof as the Wessex Arcade but the stands will be separated by a wide walkway.

Food Hall

For 2008 the Food Hall will be located in a large marquee incorporating the Cookery Theatre. For food producers and retailers to offer local, regional and exotic specialist food and drink. It is hoped that exhibitors will be able to offer the visitors samples of their products and that a wide range of wholesome produce will be available. An electrical supply is available, the charge for this is detailed within ‘Specifications, please indicate what your power requirement is and the type of plug that you require. Mains water supply and hand wash facilities will be available at one end of this tent.

Garden Display

This marquee is designed for Nurserymen, Garden Centres, and Horticultural Plant Suppliers to display and sell plants. Judging of the stands will take place at 9:00am after that time exhibitors are free to sell all their stock.

Sustainability & Organic Marquee

A new location with both covered and open exhibition areas will put the Sustainability & Organic Marquee into a prime position within the Showground. Tables and electric supply are available.

Information for all types of stand

Electricity is available but must be ordered by you direct from the contractors – Order from will be sent out to exhibitors who request power. It is essential that you indicate ‘YES’ on the application form if you are booking a power supply to enable us to locate your stand close to the power supply.

Showground is easily accessed from the B3081. It is, immediately prior to Showday, open from 9am to 9pm to allow stands to be built up. All sites are on the grass, there are some stoned roadways, but access may be restricted in wet weather. On Showday a limited number of vehicles are permitted on site before 8.15am. and unless forming part of the stand, all vehicles must be removed to the Car Park by 8.30am.
